Earlier this year, popular high school English teacher Jennifer Rosenzweig was denied tenure by the Mamaroneck school district.
Since then, she has quit and today she announced she is taking a job as a high school English teacher in Bronxville. Here’s what she wrote on the wall of the Facebook group supporting her:
I am writing to let you all know that I have been hired as an English teacher at Bronxville High School. I am extremely fortunate to have been hired by a district whose reputation for excellence is undeniable, and I look forward to continuing my teaching career in an environment of respect and professionalism.
The love and support you have so graciously given me during this very difficult year mean more to me than I can express.
She also had a message for high school students graduating in Mamaroneck today:
To my students who are graduating today, I’m so proud of you and I will see you at the ceremony in a couple of hours! I, like you, am sad to be leaving MHS, but I know that as we all move forward on our separate paths, the love and kindness we have for each other will continue to connect us for years and years to come.
All the best,
