Ellen Kuras, who worked on “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Analyze That,” presented a lighting workshop for production students and discussed her career after a screening of her work. The event was supported by a grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Kuras, a Nyack resident, was nominated for a 2009 Academy Award for her directorial debut, a documentary called “The Betrayal.”
As a cinematographer, Kuras also worked on documentaries about some major rock stars: “Neil Young: Heart of Gold” and “No Direction Home: Bob Dylan.”
