A sophomore at nearby Greenwich High School killed himself Tuesday — the first day of school there — after years of bullying.
As the Connecticut Post describes what happened, it’s one of those situations that all school districts dread and, more so than in the past, work to prevent with anti-bullying measures.
Apparently, the 15-year-old student, Bartlomiej Palosz, moved to Greenwich from Poland while in elementary school. Several sources told the Post that Palosz was a victim of regular bullying.
The mother of a friend to the boy said this: “He always was kind of awkward in his body and kind of clumsy and how he carried himself. He didn’t exude confidence but he was a total sweetheart of a guy. But kids never appreciated that.”
