Do you have questions about the Common Core, new testing or other state education initiatives?
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chalet at Spook Rock Golf Course, 233 Spook Rock Road in Suffern.
“There are a lot of concerns with how New York has rolled things out, and the state Education Department needs to hear what people think,” said Jen Marraccino, legislative chairperson for the Central Hudson PTA. “I do think Ken Wagner is a good listener and someone who explains things really well. It’s an opportunity to share concerns with someone who can effect change for our kids.”
The program will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chalet at Spook Rock Golf Course, 233 Spook Rock Road in Suffern. The cost is $25 per person (or $18 for students). For information, contact Marraccino at 845-358-5108 or email@example.com.
Wagner is deputy commissioner for curriculum, assessment and educational technology, and is a key player in the rollout of the Common Core, new testing, the delayed data portal system and other state initiatives.
The Central Hudson Region PTA includes PTAs in Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties.
