Award-winning journalist and bestselling author Gregory Zuckerman will be the next guest at Concordia College’s Books & Coffee discussion group, set for 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville.
The program is free and open to the public.
Zuckerman wrote “The Frackers: The Outrageous Inside Story of the New Billionaire Wildcatters,” a look at how a few people experimenting with hydraulic fracturing made their fortunes on the oil they recovered from shale. He also looks at the environmental risks of fracking and whether the risks are worth the benefits — which could include making the U.S. energy independent.
Zukerman writes about financial issues, energy and business as a special writer at the Wall Street Journal and appears on television and radio stations speaking about finance and business. He is a two-time winner of the Gerald Leob award and is the author of “The Greatest Trade Ever: The Behind-the-Scenes Story of How John Paulson Defied Wall Street and Made Financial History.”
A reception will follow the discussion; Zuckerman’s books will be available for sale. Reservations are not required.
