Just got this in from Eastchester schools:
Eastchester High School teacher Sylvia Vigliani, a resident of Riverdale, was part of photography exhibit at the Andrew Freedman Home on the Grand Concourse highlighting the growing Bronx arts community. Called “The Bronx Artist Documentary Project,” the exhibit, which ran this fall, featured the work of 30 photographers who recorded 80 artists as they engaged in their creative process over the past year. The goal was to bring together the artists and photographers and provide opportunities for collaboration, in an innovative show that documented artists at work in their studios.
In addition to the photography exhibit, one of Sylvia’s sculptures was selected by Fashion Designers as an inspirational piece that generated a runway clothing design for the Bronx Fashion Week, also running at the Andrew Freedman Home during the same time.
